Our tutors, case managers, and mentors are highly qualified with a four-year college degree from an accredited university. We also employ tutors who are working on a degree in education. In addition to being highly qualified, we ensure safety by performing a criminal background check on all employees hired by Growing Minds, LLC.
All employees are CPR and First Aid certified and receives on-going Crisis Prevention Intervention.

Beth Hodges - Director of Education
Beth, co-owner and co-founder of Growing Minds, LLC, has been an educator for over 15 years. A graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, Beth began her career as a Special Education teacher for grades 6th-12th. After several years of teaching she obtained a Master’s Degree of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her passion for teaching and learning grew as a Title I Resource teacher and 1st grade classroom teacher. Beth later became a Title I Program Specialist at the district level providing support for the district Title I schools and implementing the No Child Left Behind legislation. She also worked for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt School Publishers, the world’s largest publisher, as an Education Consultant and Sales Representative for four years providing training and support to teachers and administrators across ten states in the Southeast and Midwest Regions of the United States. Beth is a licensed school administrator. She enjoys reading, learning, exercising, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Carlos Brooks - Director of Operations
Carlos, co-owner and co-founder of Growing Minds, LLC, is a graduate of the University of Saint Francis and a Fort Wayne native. While at Saint Francis, Carlos obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing and played football for the Saint Francis Cougars. For the last several years, he has been providing mentoring, coaching, and tutoring services to students in the community. Carlos’ passion for learning and teaching continues to grow as he continues to provide educational services for students of all ages. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and his family has played a key role in his development as a positive role model
in the lives of students. He wants to help children grow and see the value for learning and education. In his spare time, Carlos spends time with his family, at the gym, in the gardens, and he has a love for all sports
